Where to Find J&J – Spring 2022

We’ve been home too long, and it’s time to get back on the road! J&J Editorial is looking forward to attending in-person events this year for the first time since 2019. While we have loved the virtual offerings from our industry groups, nothing can quite replace meeting people in real life. Our appreciation for in-person events has only grown in the last two years, and we cannot wait to see you out there!

London Book FairLondon Book Fair 2022

April 5-7

Olympia, London

Official London Book Fair Site

Up first is The London Book Fair conference, which promises to deliver quality content, exciting keynote speakers, future-gazing presentations, heated debate, and unrivaled networking opportunities. This year’s Market Focus will be on Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and will include a program of cultural events celebrating Emirati authors and books.

We’ll have our eyes on the Research and Scholarly Publishing Forum, which will tackle Open Access by looking at the issues shaping the future of academic publishing. We hope to gain an overview of the new infrastructure and service developments that underpin research information.

If you want to speak with a J&J representative or set up a meeting, email us or come visit us at the Wiley booth!

Following on the heels of STM, the J&J team will be heading to sunny and warm Phoenix, Arizona, to participate in the 2022 CSE Annual Meeting.

We are ecstatic to return to a staple meeting such as CSE! It will host J&J’s first exhibit booth of the year, where you can find some of our most experienced and knowledgeable staff. Contact us to set up a meeting, or stop by the booth. We’re looking forward to seeing so many of our colleagues once again!

Library Publishing ForumLibrary Publishing Forum 2022

May 25-26

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Official Library Publishing Forum Site

Up next, the Library Publishing Forum is an annual conference bringing together representatives from libraries engaged in (or considering) publishing initiatives to define and address major questions and challenges; to identify and document collaborative opportunities; and to strengthen and promote this community of practice.

This will be our first time attending the Library Publishing Forum. After enjoying other library-focused conferences such as the Charleston Conference, we cannot wait to see what the Library Publishing Coalition has in store for us in Pittsburgh!

SSP 44th Annual MeetingSSP Annual Meeting 2022

June 1-3

Chicago, Illinois

Official SSP 44th Annual Meeting Site

Last but not least, the SSP 44th Annual Meeting asks how can we take the strengths we already possessed as a community, fold in lessons learned during the pandemic, and aim for being an even stronger, broader, and more connected community? We hope to look back, reflect, learn, adapt, evolve, and move forward even stronger and more connected.

We take the SSP 44th Annual Meeting’s theme to heart as we hope to build a better community and strengthen our relationships while we attend and exhibit during this year’s event. It seems fitting to round out our “spring” meetings with this hopeful message.

And those are our spring meetings! We will be traveling from the bustling streets of London to sunny Phoenix, Arizona, in 2022, meeting with colleagues and hopefully making new friends along the way. As summer and fall approach, keep an eye out for more J&J appearance updates. If you are attending any of these meetings and want to make sure you run into us, reach out on Twitter @jjeditorial, Facebook: J&J Editorial, LinkedIn: J&J Editorial, or our email: [email protected].

We will see you out on the road. Travel safe!
